Comparative Media Studies (CMS) is a new undergraduate and graduage program involving many departments in the School of Humanities. Six encompassing themes are at the center of CMS. These themes cross academic disciplines and involve both traditional and emerging communications media, establishing a focus for public presentations, research agendas, and curricular initiatives. Through its projects, symposia, outreach programs, and research projects, CMS explores the social, economic and cultural impact of digital technolgies and their analog forebearers.
