The address-label decorations
U.S. postage stamp by Eva
The back of the envelope was sealed with one of these stickers:
Custom-designed official U.S. postage stamps: Besides the limited edition (20 exist in the world) stamp of the trumpet-blowing angels at the gates of the cemetery in Herman's ancestral hometown of Pubnico Nova Scotia, I also designed a stamp to celebrate Chez Christophe, a restaurant in the Acadian region of N.S. where we had a particularly lovely lunch with friends and family. While I was at it, I had a commemorative stamp for A.T. made as well at www.zazzle.com.

Text summarizing our 2008 (html); Same, as a Word document
The photos were on the back of the textual summary. There were variations on the house and KS panels.
The sticker on the back of the envelope is a photo of a St. Francis of Assisi carving
we bought in Antigua Guatemala. The return address sticker contains a drawing by Eva of a
Yellow-winged Tanager.
The address label features her drawing of a Blue-throated Motmot.

Variations on the front of the card:
Symbols not covered in the Key to the Symbols:
The turtle in the stained glass window represents our daily walks around Cutler Lake in Needham, because a large turtle crossed our path one day.
The cardinal reminds us of our
visit to Ellie and Stauffer because that was the predominant species at their feeders.
