Robert Lawler is an Associate Professor of Educational Computing in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at Purdue University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an A.B. Temple University in English. He has been Associate Director of the Logo Center, a Principal Scientist at the Le Centre Mondial l'Informatique (The World Center for Computers and Human Development, Paris), Principal Scientist at GTE Fundamental Research Laboratory, a Senior Research Associate at the National Research Council and a Visiting Scholar at Radcliffe College in the Henry Murray Research Center for the Study of Lives. He authored the book Computer Experience and Cognitive Development and co-authored a number of books including Artificial Intelligence and Education, Vol.'s. 1 and 2 with Masud Yazdani.
