Since first opening its doors in 1902, the Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) has led the way in developing librarianship as a profession. As one of the largest schools of library and information science in North America, Simmons currently graduates more than 175 professionals each year, over four percent of the total U.S. output.
[Mary Hopper took classes in Cataloging, Reference, Digital Libraries and Archives (2000-2002).
She also completed an internship in the MIT Archives where she processed the records of the
American Institute of Planners (AIP).]
