Description of Genealogical Resources at the Boston Public Library's Microtext Department
Personal and Family Papers Collections
The Microtext Department has accumulated a number of microfilmed collections of personal and family papers of New England persons and families. The acquisition scope includes diaries and clipping collections for individuals, as well as organizational papers of business and social entities. This list notes the name of person/family or organization, the period of coverage and the shelf call number. Many have printed inventories or finding aids on shelf within the department, often under the same call number as the microfilm collection.
