Replying to LO12998 --

I like the analogy of e-mail to oysters and pearls. It gave me a sudden
realization that the email from this group had a unique property, it is
declarative rather than directive in nature - sharing rather than
demanding.

Not once have I received an order from anyone in this group. Not once
have I received a suspense date or a reminder of a mandatory meeting.
Perhaps the failings of e-mail elsewhere can be attributed to the nature
of the mailings sent over it.
