The shift from X to anything else has been the killer of many other things
too, not only TQM and LO. THere have been attempts to improve things in
organizations, or companies as Michael would say. But the ingrained X set
of beliefs in most managers, deans, military officer, public servants,
etc. always takes care of these efforts. Some of the efforts that failed
are Job Enrichment, Quality Circles, etc.
PS. I forgot to mention that Cultural Diversity in the US companies is going
the same way too!
