September 30 1998, 22:30 GMT (6:30PM EST) Prior to the introduction of image manipulation tools like Adobe Photoshop and digital special effects in Film and Video, photographers and filmakers built sets, used mirrors and sandwiched negatives to create ground breaking images. This project honors photographers and filmakers like Jerry Uelsmann, Robert Frank, Lee Friedlander and Orson Welles. We invoke you to build media appropriate sets, set up scrims and mirrors, focus lights and rent Citizen Kane.
