read axelrod- evolution of cooperation, and james p carse on finite and
infinite games
carse says that you can't play an infinite [read playful win-win,
unending, etcetera] game inside a finite [read win-lose, definite end,
competitive] game, but the reverse happens all the time [it has echoes of
torbert's consultant typology also: his later stages like ironist,
strategist, magician etcetera
so the consequences of being in life's arena with those who are
>not at all "playful?" is thay you're in a finite game, but axelrod gives
>us hope in that cooperation can evolve from competition...
[at the risk of censure by rick, dare I mention again that this is
precissed in my pack 'learning from complexity' out soon, and what is the
verb from precis?]
[Host's Note: OK, Arthur, I'll let you get away with it *this* time!
...Rick]
