Replying to LO8153 --

I have found the amount of energy spent on the lurking issue to be very
typical of my experiences as a consultant in the following ways:

1. People often will only discuss issues they feel comfortable with.

2. When an issue is personal people often feel much stronger concerning
that issue, and tend to have an emotional interest in the discussion.

3. There will always be issues where common ground can not be found and
that's OK. There are usually many more areas where valuable discussion can
take place.
