Replying to LO7531 --

Experience tells me that people can't be counted on "to do the right
thing because it is the right thing". But then, I think that's
because my "right thing" and your "right thing" and their "right
thing" are all different.

People can be counted on to do what makes sense to them. And what
makes sense to them will have a great deal to do with the systems
they find themselves in.

Buckminster Fuller said something like, "Create an organisation where
it is easier to do the right thing than other things." He was
talking about organising in a particular, not just referring to
corporations.

I watched an old movie the other night and its message seems similar,
"Build it and he will come." Or, in our case, build it, and they
will show up.
