LE>1) What are the trends facing management development during the next 5

1. Aging workforce.
2. Declining education and skills of potential employees.
3. Increasing workforce of people from the inner city, disadvantage,
non-english speaking youth entering the work force.
4. Challenges in providing basic and fundamental skills training in
addition to technical and professional skills.
5. Partnerships with external organizations to provide for HRD,
Training, Materials, Procurement, Accounting & Finance, and other
traditional support functions.
LE>2) What are the issues (and concerns) of management development during
LE>the next 5 years?
1. Thinking and taking action on a global level
2. How to get high quality products and services at a competitive
price with the available work force.
3. Dealing with the changing HRD issues.
4. Maintaining trust and commitment in a chaotic business climate.
