This two-hour evening seminar will give you a brief overview of the
principles of Human Dynamics. Through the use of both videotape and
interactive exercises, you will get a little taste of the power of these
understandings when put into practice in today's corporate world.
Human Dynamics is the term given to a powerful and newly emerging
technology for understanding fundamental distinctions in human functioning.
These new understandings have been developed by Dr. Sandra Seagal and her
associates at Human Dynamics International (HDI) in the course of continuing
research since 1979. This investigation has involved more than forty thousand
people from twenty-five cultures, in Canada, Sweden, Israel and the United
States. Human Dynamics is not a typology nor a psychology. Rather, it is the
exploration of fundamental underlying structures and processes, which holds as
its basis that Human Beings are patterns of dynamic energy with a spiritual
source.
Dr. Seagal and her team have explored the interaction in people of three
universal principles: the mental, the emotional (or relational), and the
physical (or practical). These combine in a dynamic interplay in people to
form nine distinct "personality dynamics" each of which is of equal value, and
constitutes a whole way of functioning. Failure to recognize these
differences results in a loss and waste of individual and group potential.
Awareness of these dynamics, however, offers new opportunities for greater
self-understanding and growth, as well as greater appreciation and
understanding of others. Improved communication and cooperation becomes
possible, thus creating more effective individual and team performance.
Human Dynamics is being deployed at major corporations such as Terratron,
Intel, National Semiconductor, Dow Chemical, and AT&T. At Digital Equipment
Corporation, more than 600 people have been reached with excellent results.
The understandings are also being applied in the fields of health care,
education, parenting, and in cross-cultural bridge-building.
As stated by Peter Senge, Director of MIT's Systems Thinking and
Organizational Learning Program and author of The Fifth Discipline, "The work
of Sandra Seagal and her associates is seminal. I believe it will have imense
impact upon management, education and families. Those of us involved in
building learning organizations will look back in ten years' time, and wonder
how we had ever proceeded without the understanding and appreciation of the
diversity of human functioning that the work of Human Dynamics brings.
