Hi

I am a member of the classified staff at the library at Texas A&M
University. Due to WWW development work and interest in computer
programming, I am interested in graphics and visual presentation of
information. A few days ago I was in the campus bookstore
looking at textbooks in the Art and Architecture area and saw a copy
of "The Fifth Discipline". It was the first mention of "learning
organizations" that I remember. I bought a copy and found the online
mailing list archives for the learning organization listserv.

The most related previous experience that I have is interest in
making difficult information easier to understand, again, due in part
to WWW efforts and interest in making computer applications - and
making them more effective!

I've written a review of "The Fifth Discipline" that is available on
the WWW at

http://www.rtis.com/nat/user/jfullerton/review/learning.htm

The review includes the following sections

Introduction - about Learning Organizations and the book
Five Disciplines - what the five disciplines are
Additional Topics - other things that I wanted to mention - not
finished
System Dream - a dream I had after working on the review that is
related to system thinking
My Tribute - my response to and acknowledgement of "The Fifth
Discipline"

Comments are welcomed and may very well result in changes in the
review.

Have a nice day
