Bill:

Seven years ago I developed and implemented in our manufacturing company a
Shop-to-Shop Program. We have 3 finite divisions. Non-exempt employees
from each (a total of about 450 taken together) voted for one
representative in that division who would receive an all-expense paid trip
to Europe. There, the winners visited our Manchester, UK, manufacturing
facility, and sales offices in Amsterdam and Dusseldorf. At each site
they also visited customers who actually used the machines and supplies
our company employees had manufactured here in the US.

These employees visit 3 countries in six days, meet non-English speakers
who use our "made-in-U.S.A." equipment, and return to report to management
and to their divisions in meetings expressly for that purpose. The program
has gone extremely well while undergoing iterative improvements since its
inception.

Sound like something worth presenting? Let me know.

Best,
