I'll answer the question in general and then respond with
email as well. Randy asked for resources for conducting sessions
on creating a company vision.
We do soup to nuts on that in The Fifth Discipline Fieldbook,
in the section on Shared Vision.
We include a story about Hanover Insurance.

However, we decided not to be too heavy on benchmarks,
because we thought it was counter-productive to impose a
vision process from one organization to another.... They're
often tedious to read, as well, without the experience of
having been there.
