YawgooBest known as RI's only ski resort. The corn is pretty short there too. The WPA guide refers to this area as Yawgoog rather than Yawgoo and describes the pond as "a fine sheet of water with gently sloping beaches, more than three-quarters of a mile long and one-half mile wide ... surrounded by a splendid stand of timber, wide fields, and a series of cliffs with many natural caves." Didn't see any of that but did see lots of short corn.
