Rudder pedals from the rear

The design of the dual rudder pedals is pretty neat.

Through the simple use of some pulleys and two links, both rudder pedals are slaved together.

There's several steps to preparing the main boom before attaching it to the plane. This photo shows some economical plastic saw-horses that we bought at the local Home-Depot. They come with some nice "pipe" holders that can be snapped onto the end of the saw horse ... very convenient.

You can see the leading and trailing edge attachment saddles for the wing attached to the main tube.

The main boom is attached.

Although the photos don't show it very clearly, all pass through bolts on the main tube have interior doublers. This prevents the tube from warping as you tighten things up.

You can also see that the rear cabin tubes have special black-anodized mounting plates to help distribute the load.

The little piece of 2X4 you see is holding the brake lever up. We found that this was a convenient way to keep the cage from moving during this phase.
