The Rudder and Brake Cables

The Rudder and Brake Cables

This section shows the rudder and brake cables installed in the cabin.

You can also see how the cables are 'threaded' through the cabin.

This is the first link (closest to the nose) of the rudder cable assembly in the body of the plane. The link is on the student (right) side of the plane.

These are the second and third linkages, again, on the student side of the plane. The first goes out of the picture on the upper right.

These are the rudder pedals. Notice the brake cable attached to the pedals. You can also see the 1st, 2nd and 3rd links of the rudder cable in this shot.

The 3rd brass link is attached to the cable itself.

In this photo you can see the way the cables are threaded. These are all the cables on the student side of the plane.

A - We passed the left brake cable through the "box" under the seat. We passed the right brake cable outside of this "box.

B - The brake cables then pass through two "pre-assembled" loops under the rear of the seat.

C - These are the horzontal stabilator (elevator) cables. They pass through two "pre-assembled" loops on the center tube.

D - This is the the right rudder cable.
