The capitalization of Hyacinth in the Hyacinth garden has no doubt caused many much confusion. The other mentions of hyacinth in The Waste Land are in lowercase lettering. And why, if Hyacinth is capitalized is not garden? It appears that the confusion might be due to a printing error that never got changed in following editions.
