6.5 Implications for Research about Future Courseware Projects
The key findings of this research are reviewed here, and possible implications
of these findings are suggested. This fulfills the major objectives of this
research study, but can only serve as the beginning of a much larger task.
The key factors within each of the major contexts, and the relationships among
them have been defined in a preliminary manner. It is beyond the scope of
this study and the resources of a single researcher to provide complete
descriptions of all of the educational, technical and organizational contexts
of advanced courseware development projects. Further descriptions of the contents
and the roles of the authors that manage them will be the job of educational
computing researchers in the decade to come.
