Hey, I'm very much interested in this thread. Frankly I was disappointed
it was as short lived as it was when I started it.
But I'm swamped with work right now, so I can't get to until the end of
this week. I'm stored all the messages for this thread in a folder. Expect
a response on Friday or Saturday.
For now it'll have to suffice to say that I don't think that Scenario
Planning automatically produces (or forces) linear thinking. In fact, SP
seems to be one of the best methods of taking into account the complexity
inherent in business or the evolution of organizations.
I can see Arthur's point of view, mostly from the eyes of someone who is
steeped in linear thought. It's an individual thing, I think, not a SP
thing. Wouldn't you agree, Arthur?
