>From the practical standpoint I can tell you Broadbanding makes great
sense...

Example: Major Telecom buildout (PCS - Personal Communications System new
digital cell phones systems) is going on all across the U.S. ... every
major city... it involves several types of professionals... RF engineers,
Site Acquisiton Specialists, Zoning Specialists, Leasing Specialists, and
Attorneys...

Without broadbanding the buildout takes much longer... no one will do the
other persons "job".. with broadbanding, we do whatever it takes, based on
our capabilities.. .there's a lot more communication among team members,
cooperation, everyone performs multiple tasks, everyone learns a lot
more... we all win when the job is completed early... life is much easier
... much, much easier...

I can see many similar situations where Broadbanding would work very, very
well... where you want a job done quickly, and you want to conserve
resources... use a minimum of people to get the job done...

You get lots of cross training happening ... ad hoc...
People can actually work shorter hours, with less pressure,
because the deadlines are met...

Broadbanding works... based on my experience... but theoretically ...maybe
it has problems...
