I am working with a design team through the Antioch University Seattle
Organizational Systems Renewal program. We have working fairly
intensely for the past six months on a project and we are winding
things down. We have had our share of turmoil and success as
virtual/collaborative teams do. In the spirit of the learning
organization and as we are finishing up our work together, we want to
complete the loop with some feedback for each other both as a group
and as individuals. We want the feedback to be appreciative and
playful yet also able to deal with the difficult feedback we often
have or want to give to people.

A format we have been looking at is using a musical chairs game where
we get an opportunity to spend some time together in a session
rotating through the team. We will give feedback focusing on well
dones and needs improvement. We can also give the feedback in a
behavioral frame, where we talk about how our perceived behaviors of
other peoples actions and words made us feel: When you did this ...,
it made me feel like this ... Each person can respond and inquire as
needed to the statement.

I am also in a situation with a client where we have completed our
work together and I want to get feedback from them about our work
together as well as give feedback to the client.

I am curious as to what feedback techniques others have used to
successfully close (or open up) work with groups. From a consultant's
perspective, are there some good techniques for delivering and
receiving feedback from our clients?
