A very interesting post. Your point about cross-domain connectors is a
good one. In fact, there is a good web page on this subject:

This is a hard concept to implement, because these kinds of individuals
are pretty rare. I wouldn't be surprised to see this concept become hot in
about 4-5 years, though. Lateral movement became much more common during
the 80s, and pretty soon we'll start to see the fruits of that in terms of
people with grounding in multiple areas.
