Hi everyone,

My name is Ian Saunders. I am a founding member of a small consulting
practice called Transition Partnerships that operates mainly in the UK
with links to the USA and Western Europe.

Most of my work is connected to helping organisations improve their
performance. I work with clients helping them to help themselves. In my
experience most organisations have lots of untapped expertise within them
and I see my role to help them bring out. THis involves me in working with
individuals and groups coaching them, facilitating workshops aimed at
developing agreed actions to move themselves and their organisations
forwards.Within Transition Partnerships (TP) we have coined the phrase
'World class' = High Performance, High Commitment and Continuous Learning.

I am very interesting in all things related to Learning Organisations. I
regularly attend, and am a member of two special interest groups under its
umbrella, an organisation called Learning individuals in Learning
organisations that meets in London. (It is convened by John Farago,
another person on this list. I am the regional co-ordinator of AMED (The
association of management education and development) a network
organisation.

I look forward to following the threads and ideas in the conference.
