Michael, in discussion change in LO10776, concluded with:

> Life is occurring and it involves learning, adaptation, change,
> process.... what is this nonsense about specific programmes?

Guess my take on it is that is IS useful to have some understanding of the
basic process of change or the steps in the change process or whatever you
want to call it. As an example, Kubla-Ross in her work on death and dying
suggests a model of the process by which many handle trauma -- and this
allows coaches to better assist those undergoing such problems. By
understanding the stages, one can better understand some of the rationale
behind what is going on. And see some light at the end of the tunnel.

My take on change is to give people a better understanding of the stages
and the impacts, with a goal of making the process less mysterious and
giving some "conscious control" over one's own emotional states.

But forcing change and controlling others' emotions are a whole different
ballgame. Like when my Mom yells at me for being angry. Go figure.

(And we can also get into some of the NLP stuff like matching, pacing and
leadingn or techniques for reframing and anchoring and a few other models
for helping to broaden people's perspectives, visions and goals.

For the Fun of It!
