I second that. I'm an Internet online educator. The links on intranets
are very informative.

I have to disagree. My own experiences as an online learner and
observations of others in online classes as a facilitator lead me to
believe that this kind of dialogue *is* possible. It is also this type of
dialogue and learning with which we are most interested at GYMNASIA
VIRTUALES.

The recent edition of our newsletter, BULLA GYMNASIA VIRTUALES, highlights
this approach from both a learner's and facilitator's perspective. You

Ten Questions Your Organization Should Answer *Before* Jumping
Into Online Education/Training by Dr. Tammy Dewar

I think the key is in how the technology is used and the philosophical
orientations of those who are delivering courses and/or managing a team.

As I say in my article in the newsletter, " reproducing our traditional
passive forms of education using technology seems a gross misuse of not
only the powerful emerging technologies, but also everything we've come to
realize about learning overall."

While most of our clients tend to be from educational institutions, my own
working partnership with Dr. Higgins, owner of CyberCorp Inc., happened
entirely online, and we have hired a faculty entirely online. I would
very much characterize us as a learning organization. So it is possible
:-)

We are *very* interested in exploring how this translates to larger
organizational settings.
