John,

You write that you want to be the central source for information...it
might be helpful to expand upon that and view yourself as the catalyst for
getting others to share information and learn from each other. In the
larger organization that I am in, we are trying to get away from the
hierarchy and centrality of information control and facilitate information
exchanges rather than centralizing it. Does this make any sense to you?
