Dear Steve:
I read your note with interest.
This would not be the first time I had seen an employee jump to
conclusions without enough data. It would certainly not be the first time
I had seen an employer act with total disregard and contempt for some (or
even all) of the employees.
What you tell us describes an unpleasant and unhealthy situation, but of
course only from your viewpoint.
If I were in your shoes, I would think first about how the shifted ground
has impacted my position relative to all known opportunities. However,
it's pretty clear how you feel about the changes, and if I felt the same
way I would begin to explore the possibility of employment elsewhere
without delay.
