I think the concepts of Bill and Dave is exactly what has contributed to
the HP of today. As yet never a star like Xerox or IBM or DEC, but a long
distance runner what has moved from one niche to another in a methodical
and consistent way.

I would assert that HP has reinvented itself at least twice but without
fanfare and hype and was moulded by Bill and Dave long after the start. I
noted his recent passing and hope that won't cause any lost momentum.

Could we ascribe LO model attributes to HP? Is it in the same class as
3M? ...Keith
