Rol. I am guilty of contributing to this unease and, believe me, I have a
strong set of values I am proud of. BUT, we cannot assume that our values
are shared by anyone.
I am constantly amazed by the number of people who just try to get through
the day without more bruises. The idea of a higher purpose needs to be a
shared value among the list participants (I hope) but we need to recognize
that such a concept may be foreign to the people we encounter in our daily
lives. I am NOT trying to be elitist here but am also trying to be
realistic.
Why do we feel compelled to interact through this impersonal medium of
typing when we are surrounded by real flesh and blood if not because we
need to reach out beyond those around us who DO NOT SHARE our passions?
What do you Think?
