Several people, among them Ben and If, have pointed out to me the error of
my thinking about self-organizing teams and their propensity to become
extinct.
They are correct that just because they will become extinct is not a
reason to prevent them from forming. There is the potential that they
will provide a lot of value.
In fact, I am not suggesting that they be prevented. As a mechanism for
organizing naturally self-organizing teams have an important role.
