The other reason senior managers stopped using any particular 'ism' is
that it didn't work. Sometimes in our rush to judge we forget this simple
fact. For example, think of the Baldridge winners who have fallen on hard
times. As someone said, it isn't a religion, it's only a tool. It is not
the right tool for everyone.
