Corporate sabbatical? LO6913

Forgive any cross postings on this request. Next year, I will be on
sabbatical from my academic job in the management department at WPI. Part
of that time I will spend at MIT in Cambridge on the 21st Century Project
studying interesting, IT-driven organizations. I am trying to set up an
interesting CORPORATE experience as well.

I am looking for advice on approaching corporations in the Northeast to
set up a mutually beneficial experience. Essentially, I am looking for
half my academic salary in exchange for half my time (energy and
experience) during the 1996-97 academic year. My background is in
organizational development and change, and I've performed in a variety of
training and development roles (as trainer, outside consultant, etc.).

Has anyone out there had any luck setting one of these up? Any
suggestions for how to go about trying? My experience to date suggests
that I would have fewer problems if I were willing to offer my services
for free (which, unfortunately, I cannot).

If you have some thoughts on this, please email me directly at:
