System Changing Itself LO6279

Someone asked a question some time back about the Deming point on systems
needing help from outside to change. It did not accur to me at the time
but we were talking about it last night (we being myself, Billie Alban - a
consultant from Connecticut, and my husband Dave)

This was a new mental modelling of this for me in that the 'help form
outside' need not be a consultant - in fact many of the whole system
change technologies involve large scale interventions (future search, real
time strategic change, open space, simu-real) and these obtain the help
from outside so that a system can see itself by involving internal *and*
external stakeholders in the process - hence help from outside?!

What do you think folks - did someone already say this??
