The main message that I take from this is that the major learning
activity is from and with the community - not a curriculum. We learn
the customs of practice - including learning practices - of a
particular community and learn its language and hence become
participants moving from the periphery to the core and thus become
recognised as knowledgeable in the domain of that community.
