I don't know what kind of impact the whole information revolution
will have on shared meanings, values, etc., because I believe it is too
soon to tell! The concern we have with the lack of face-to-face
interaction is onlt as it refers to the office. But this non-personal
contact is already taking place all over, and in many forms. And it is
gaining in intensity too! We are an example of that. How many different
cultures and individuals are represent in this great group called the
Learning Organization List? During the last few months I have visited
Jamaica, France, England, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, ... and all of them
have HBO, CNN, ESPN, and other channels. Likewise I catch the news from
Latin American TV stations on a daily basis on a channel here at home in
Miami, Florida. It is happening! Michael Jordan is hero for kids and
grown ups here in the U.S. and all over the world! What effect would this
have on a kid in Argentine, or India, or ...?
