I'm very familiar with this aspect of womanhood. But frankly, now that
I'm not competing for recognition, I celebrate this quality. For once I'm
invested in a team's/organization's goals/purpose, I subordinate my
personal interests for that of the team/organization. These are different
qualities we bring to a team. "Taking credit" as an individual is
necessary when the system requires it.
