Having subscribed to this list for some months, it's about time I
introduced myself.

My own background is in developing computer systems, for use by clients
(usually major corporations or government). Currently, I'm involved in
marketing and business planning activities. I'm based in the UK, and now
work for EDS (Electronic Data Systems), who took over my previous company
some 4 years ago.

I guess my first exposure to LO concepts (not that I realised it then) was
some 10 years ago when I studied Systems Methodologies (e.g. Peter
Checkland's work).

It is only recently that I read both "The 5th Discipline" and "The 5th
Discipline Fieldbook", and so feel able to start relating the LO concepts
to my own learning and experiences. I should add that I know that EDS is
striving to become an LO, but that most of that work is currently
US-based.

My questions concern the processes of implementing LO concepts within a
large, multi-national corporation. Has anyone any experiences or insight
of the issues that arise from working in a such an environment ?
