Bobbie, you ask for advice so here is some!
You say if you order the Field Book it will take forever to get. And yet,
if you don't order it it will take longer then forever to get it! But then
why bother. I personally find the original Fifth Discipline a much finer
piece of work from a thought provocation perspective. And, I understand
this is exactly what bothered people about it. The book requires what
Edward de Bono says we hate to do more than anything else, "THINK!"
If you want the class to stop talking and start doing, the most rewarding
activity may be actually building Systems Thinking modelsand developing a
deeper understanding of how systems work. I personally find it a
continuing source of amazement for things just don't seem to work the way
I always thought they did.
