This post was such an eloquent description of learning in a variety of
ways that I think it bears re-reading. In particular, Michael, I think it
is one of the most accessible illustrations of what some traditions call
"meditation" and of the potential value in it (along side of the
difficulty in practicing it!). Certainly there have been an incredible
number of "theories" which have arisen as a result of such practices. I
consider the "theorizing" to be something other than meditation, of
course, so perhaps in addition to "learning", we could call some of it
"play". All of that noise and so little time to explore it!!!
