Hi John,

Some titles that I have found useful:

"The Training Trilogy" by Dick Leatherman HDR Press

Three titles, "Assessing Needs" - "Designing Programs" - "Faclitation
Skills"

Sound and complete discussions of training basics (traditional "style"
training). I beleive these titles are also of value for those seeking to
move to more creative levels of learning and training.

"The Encyclopedia of Games for Trainers" by Andy Kirby HRD Press

HRD Press 800-822-2801

"The ASTD Handbook of Instructional Technology" by George M. Piskurich
ASTD

"The ASTD Reference Guide to: Professional Human Resource Development
Roles and Competencies, Vol. 1 and 2" ASTD

ASTD 410-516-6949

"Transformation Thinking" by Joyce Wycoff/Tim Richardson
Creative thinking and the need for fun at "the teachable/learning moments".

"Punished by Reward" Alfie Kohn

"No Contest" Alfie Kohn
Both titles are "must" reading on topic of rewards and recognition.

Looking forward to other posts on this topic.
