Good day all. I have recently subscribed and have enjoyed the
discussions to date. Its time for me to jump in.. I am a manager in a
large federal agency. I am trying to tackle issues of complacency,
resignation, cynicism and fear of change. That is a challenge in the
midst of our re-engineering and downsizing. I am moving away from the
mainstream management duties, seeming to devote almost all of my energies
and time to change processes. We really need to do this right, I don't
think we can afford to make too many mistakes even though we are early in
our learning curve.
On a personal level, I am intersted in serving as a catalyst for
bringing the greatness in people out, to help them recognize and realize
their potential. So I am glad to be here and look forward to learning
about learning.
I would also like to request your help. I am assisting a colleague
develop a program on ethics for a course on leadership and ethics in our
organization. We would like to generate a list of leaders (living) known
for their strong ethics. The list may be used to create profile studies,
interviews or guest speakers. Any ideas, direction or other assistance
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
