As I read the woderful titles mentioned my many of the friends in this
list, I see that most of the references are directed at either recent
books, or books that we have read as adults. I am almost certain that all
of you, all of us, did not start on this journey just yesterday! I can
see in many of the shared knowledge that you started long time ago. In my
case, I was a teenager and there were books, events, and people, whoin an
unplanned way has led me to take some unique paths in life. In terms of
books, I can remember:

The Importance of Living, Lin Yu Tang (sp),
Canaima, Romulo Gallegos
100 Years of Solitud, Garcia Marques (and other of his books)
Killing a Mockingbird
Books by Lobsang Rampa (sp)
Mi PLanta Naranja Lima, by Vasconcellos (original in Portuguse, but I read it
in Spanish)

And many other books that I started to read when I was 13 or 14. From
that point on it has been a great journey.
