Real Tragedy of the Commons LO3415

Anyone looking for a great example to explain the "Tragedy
of the commons" should read the latest issue of National
Geographic. I just got mine yesterday, the main article is on
why the world's fisheries are so drastically depleted. I haven't
read all the words yet--just the pictures and the captions tell a
very strong story. Living in the Pacific NW--we hear a lot about
how our salmon fisherery has been hurt, but we tend to think of
it as a local problem. I would love to hear from anyone who is more
"up" on this real life global problem.
