Following the conversation about anonymity, and the dis/advantages
thereof, I mentioned my paper on the Fun Factor in Groupware Design and
Implementation (presented at Groupware 95, and available in text directly
from me, for the asking, also available on my home page at:
http://www.omix.com/zine/dekoven), I mentioned what I call "Anonyware."

The theme of anonyware is that anonymous feedback, frequently given,
couched in a little humor, can be a positive influence on any dialog. It
can serve as an opportunity for the speaker to know how people think the
conversation is progressing (e.g.: there are three signs on the screen.
one says "Yes" the other "Maybe" and a third "No." as the most vocal of
the dialogists are dialoging, anyone can "shoot a hole" in any sign,
indicating that someone believes that someone else has shot a hole in
someone's argument). The recommendation is only slightly tongue in cheek.

At any rate, I'd be delighted to explore this theme further. I DO believe
that anonymity can be fun and profitable, and that though it is used to
deal primarilly with distrust, once trust is established, it can be used
to do much more.
