In response to your point about maturity, Kersey-Blanchard model of
Situational Leadeship provides a scale (non-quantitative) of maturity.
The *age* of the worker is relevant to how long he or she has had to work
with the task or be involved in the environment. Tom Peters talks about
redefining the age of workers so that I (40) am passing into my young
adult years in reference to our information society and where we are as a
culture.
