David asked if there is a suitable name for "a lot of the current
proponents of so called groupware [who] "are in the bottom of the right
quadrant (hi tech, low touch).

I have heard the term "digitheads" used rather widely in that connection.
Another term that is used is "tekkies". Sometimes they are said to be
suffering from "technomyopia", by analogy with myopia. As you recall,
myopia is a disease whereby a person cannot detect things at a certain
distance and, because they cannot they believe that those things aren't
there.

Whether these concepts are pejorative or not is largely in the eye of the
beholder, who may also be myopic, but in some other way.
