I like those questions. A related set occurred to me the other day: can a
learning organization come into being ex nihilo? Can a group of people
spontaneously ignite?

Reflecting on those, I found the concept of L-O (strongly sidelighted, as
it were, by the unexpected perspective) showed a strong - um - _vector_
attribute. A directional quality: "We've had organizations for a long
time. Now we're going to have learning organizations." And that in turn
led around to the questions again, as I tried to imagine an organization
that _begins_ with learning.
